Our Mission Statement:

The mission of the Lagniappe Dulcimer Society is to provide enjoyment and fulfillment to dulcimer-music enthusiasts as they join with other dulcimer players and musicians to learn to improve their musical skills. A secondary goal is to be able to reach the general public in order to teach the history of the instrument as well as provide entertainment and enrichment. A third goal is to provide opportunities for dulcimer players to incorporate other musical instruments into activities and interface with the wider musical community. The organization wants to foster a genuine love of dulcimer music and teach the simplicity of playing the instrument in both traditional and contemporary modes.

 

Membership Information:

Membership includes all music tabs played during jam sessions.

Classes are free. Dues do not include the Dulcimer Fete fees.

Renewals are due December 1st.

*Family membership (2 Adults & children under 18) - $20.00 per year

*Single Membership - $15.00 per year

*Classes - $15.00 (without membership) Past classes have included

  Beginner classes I & II - Finger picking with Peggy I & II

  Jam sessions with Helen (Featuring different styles of music and techniques)

  Sing along with Jimmie Ray - Mardi Gras Music - Ensemble

*Individual Lessons Available - Please ask about availability and price

*Workshops - Occasionally we have guest workshops.

   There is a separate charge for these as the teachers are paid for their time and gas money.
